Polypropylene (PP) CAS#9003-07-0
Excellent Processability: Polypropylene features good melt flowability, suitable for injection molding, extrusion, blow molding and thermoforming. It can be processed into fibers, films, rigid containers and automotive parts with different grades.
Stable Performance: PP has outstanding resistance to dilute acids, alkalis and salt solutions. It has low density, good fatigue resistance and high heat resistance. It shows poor resistance to strong oxidants and aromatic solvents.
Versatile Uses: Widely applied in food packaging containers, non-woven fabrics, injection molded household goods, automotive interior parts, BOPP films, pipes and monofilament fibers.
Pellet Form & Non-Hygroscopic Nature: This material is supplied as translucent milky white pellets. It is non-hygroscopic and can be stored in dry, ventilated warehouse conditions.
Polypropylene, characterized by the molecular formula (C₃H₆)ₙ, presents as translucent milky white thermoplastic pellets. It is lighter than water, with good flexural fatigue resistance. It includes homopolymer, random copolymer and impact copolymer grades. It is insoluble in water, only soluble in hot xylene and other hydrocarbon solvents.
