Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) CAS#9002-88-4
High Processability: LDPE features excellent melt flow performance, good ductility and low-temperature toughness. It is easy to process via blow molding, extrusion and injection molding, suitable for film, coating and various molded products.
Stable Performance: LDPE has good chemical resistance against dilute acids, dilute alkalis and salt solutions at room temperature. It shows low water absorption and stable electrical insulation properties under normal service conditions.
Versatile Uses: It is widely used for packaging films, shrink films, agricultural mulch films, cable insulation layers, plastic bottles, squeeze tubes and coating materials.
Pellet Form & Non-Hygroscopic Nature: This material is supplied as translucent milky white pellets. It is non-hygroscopic and can be stored under dry warehouse conditions without strict moisture-proof control.
Low Density Polyethylene, characterized by the molecular formula (C₂H₄)ₙ, presents as translucent milky white thermoplastic pellets. It has good flexibility, impact resistance at low temperature and outstanding chemical inertness. A typical melt index ranges from 0.2–50 g/10min according to different grades. It is resistant to most aqueous chemicals but soluble in some hydrocarbon solvents at elevated temperature. It is commonly used for flexible packaging, wire insulation and daily plastic articles.
