Expandable Polystyrene (EPS) CAS#9003-67-2
High Stability & Physical Property
EPS features lightweight, low density and excellent thermal insulation performance. It is insoluble in water, with good water resistance and stable physical properties. It shows fine compatibility with common packaging and building auxiliary materials.
Stable Performance
This material possesses outstanding weather resistance and ageing resistance under normal temperature. It maintains stable structure after long-term storage, not easy to deform or deteriorate, and is non-hygroscopic for easy storage and transportation.
Versatile Uses
Widely used in packaging shockproof materials, building thermal insulation boards, filling insulation materials, floating materials and civil lightweight products. It is also applied in industrial buffer packaging, construction insulation and daily lightweight fillers.
Granular Form & Non-toxic Nature
It appears as white translucent spherical particles, odorless and non-toxic. With unique expandable characteristics, it can be foamed and molded under heating; sealed storage is required, away from high temperature and open flame.
Expandable Polystyrene, with molecular formula (C8H8)n, is white spherical expandable resin particles. It is insoluble in water, low in density and high in foaming ratio. It has good heat insulation, shock absorption, sound insulation and buffering properties. As a common polymer foam material, it is widely foamed into various finished products for construction and packaging industries.
