Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP) CAS#84-74-2
High Solubility & Compatibility
DBP is insoluble in water, freely soluble in ethanol, ether, chloroform, acetone and most organic solvents. It features excellent resin compatibility, good permeability and high plasticizing efficiency.
Stable Performance
This product possesses stable chemical properties with low volatility at room temperature. It shows good flexibility and cold resistance, and maintains stable performance during daily storage and processing, incompatible with strong oxidants.
Versatile Uses
It is a widely used general plasticizer, mainly applied in cellulose resin, PVC, rubber, coatings and printing inks. Also used as softener, adhesive additive and fragrance fixative in industrial fields.
Oily Liquid & Odor Characteristic
It is a colorless transparent oily liquid with slight aromatic odor. With good fluidity, it should be sealed for storage and kept away from high temperature and direct sunlight.
Dibutyl Phthalate, molecular formula C16H22O4, is a colorless transparent oily liquid. It is almost insoluble in water, soluble in various organic solvents and resins. Featuring outstanding plasticizing, softening and film-forming properties, it is a common low-cost phthalate plasticizer for industrial raw materials.
